Moving forwards in God’s work
The Annual General Meeting at Hathersage was notable for the number of people who had to send apologies.
However, with the simplified accounting system in place and also with an accountant to do the complex task of Payroll, PAYE and NI we are expecting that next year the accounts will be finished much earlier which will enable us to have the AGM in May or June which we hope will be more convenient for people
At the end of July, Keith and Margaret Osborn left the valley as they were relocated to the Methodist Church in Berwick on Tweed. We have valued their contribution as trustees and wish them God’s blessing in their next area of work. And, of course, we urgently need new trustees to replace them.
On September 15th the trustees engaged in a thinking and praying day looking back over the past 7 years of HV youth and looking forward to find new vision and energy for his important task which we still believe is God given to us
Some conclusions we reached by the end of the day were:
Constitution
Should we try to alter our constitution to enable us to engage more fully with activities which specifically
promote the Christian faith?
We also need to review the constitutional definition of membership
Activities
Should we have more one off events like the Bamford Carnival Fun afternoon? If so, what?

Can we link up with and assist current youth Christian activity e.g. Youth alpha courses
